ACTION ALERT

MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS, CALL, CALL, CALL!
THIS IS YOUR ONE CHANCE TO BAN AVERSIVES — NO MORE ELECTRIC SHOCK!

5/22/12 – URGENT: ASAN has informed us that Massachusetts State Senator Brian Joyce has filed two amendments to the Senate Ways & Means Budget currently pending in the Massachusetts State Senate. One of these amendments calls for a COMPLETE BAN OF AVERSIVES – also called “aversive therapy” – while the other would restrict their use. If passed, this would ban or limit the use of practices like the contingent ELECTRIC SHOCK used at the Judge Rotenberg Center (JRC).

Massachusetts Residents, help us close down the Judge Rotenberg Center. Let’s get those phones ringing!

  • Call your State Senator (you can reach them via the Senate Lobby at 617-722-1455)
  • Ask him/her to sign on to the Joyce Amendments #548 banning aversive interventions – the use of pain as a means of behavior modification – the State of Massachusetts.

BUT PLEASE HURRY, ASAN TELLS US THE DEADLINE IS NOON TOMORROW! NO MORE AVERSIVES, NO MORE JUDGE ROTENBERG CENTER!*

Signed,
The NAA Team
